Tom & Carolyn ( Rotary Dad and Mom) picked me up at 5.00 p.m. They brought me to a famous Italian Grill whose name is Carrabba's. We sat in the Pasta Bar where we can see the chef making the dishes. It's full of fun. It was my first time to have Italian food. I can't say I like it more than Chinese food. I still have my Chinese stomach. But it's really a good experience. I like Shrimp Fetticini, Chicken Paraasan, Fried Zucchini and Calamari Squid more than Lasanga. I greatly appreicate their hospitality. After dinner, I went back to Tom & Carolyn's house. They already prepare the games for entertainment. First, they want to teach me how to carving pumpkin. The traditional American Festival, Halloween is coming. They told me the traditional celebrating method is to carve pumpkin which can be put in front of the window or door on Halloween night. It's the first time to do that. So I was very excited and did have a great time. Second, they taught me how to play Dominos. Beginners always have good luck. I won the game at last. My score is 94, Carolyn's is 147, Tom's is 146. The rule is that whose score is the least, who is the winner. After that, Carolyn made her angel food cake w/ mandarin orange. Fortunately, it's not too sweet. :) I stayed in their guest room. Because tomorrow morning they will take me to their church service. I had a good rest and got up at 8.20 a.m. Tom made squshed egg for us. After the nice breakfast, we were going to Hope church. I met Tom's daughter and her family there. Two cute grand-daughter...A very happy family...   His son-in-law (shawn) has a good voice and sing the song at church. Tom gave me the demo CD of shawn.
After church service, I had lunch with the happiest family. Tom & Carolyn sent me home after lunch. Carolyn was a little tired, so her knee was painful. I hope her knee will get well soon. May God bless her. They are really good people. It's very impressive to see the love between Tom and Carolyn. They are always delicate and courtlike. Video At Hope Church - I like listening them singing anthems. 
I was back home arond 2.20 p.m. I noticed the tree on the opposite of my apt. Because of the autumn, it turned its colour. Gorgeous! I can't help taking photo for capturing the momentary beauty. I missed Tammie's call. It's so bad. I was supposed to show her my Hocking Hills Trip's photos. I was trying to reach her for the pick-up time. But failed. Fortunately, I got her email. She had other things to do. So she will pick me up at 6.00 p.m and go to Rachna's apt together. Well, I had enough time to make some dishes for the gathering. I made fried rice and steamed buns. Accutally, steamed buns were bought from the CAM, I just steamed them. Well, around 6.00 p.m, I finished. After 10-15 minutes, Tammie and Beth arrived.        
  
We had a GREAT time in Rachna's apt, although I was a little bit tired. When I was tired, my brain worked pretty slow and my tongue got problem to speak English. ===== 2006.10.26 ===== Thursday ====== MUM & Tour of Cincinnati Children's & CVG Airport   Every Thursday afternoon from 4.00 to 5.00 p.m, we have MUM(MEG Users' Meeting). It's a kind of Seminar. Anyone who is interested in MEG could attend the meeting. This Tursday Prof.Lin gave us a speech on MEG localization mathmatic methods. After MUM, I went back to my apt, waiting for Tammie. Because of the rain, she arrived at 5.50 p.m. I brought her to my cubic and gave her a tour of Cincinnati Children's. Nat helped us take picture in front of the MEG machine. We had dinner together in the cafeteria. Because of the limited time, I choosed to eat at the cafeteria. Luckily, Tammie like the food there. The airline Yinhong took has been delayed. Tammie and I have to wait until 9.00 p.m. But it's good opportunity for us to know more about each other. I had a very good time to talk with her. :) Her attractive personality touched me. I am so lucky to have a friend like her. We went to airport around 9.00 p.m and arrived on time, successfully pick up Yinhong at CVG airport. I made dumplings for Yinhong. She might be hungry after the long fly. ===== 2006.10.27 ===== Friday ====== Make dishes to welcome Yinhong's back & Teach Yinhong to I made three dishes to celebrate Yinhong's back and her promotion. After dinner, I taught her how to carve pumpkin. She was very happy to do that. I also took lots of pictures for her. She wants to show her daughter the whole procedure. It's very meaningful. :) ===== 2006.10.28 ===== Saturday ====== Go to Harvest Party organized by International Friendships So relax...I did enjoy the time there. Thank you for OUR GREAT DRIVER: Tammie, the host family, Julie and Robert ... etc :) It's not very cold but it's very windy. You can see from the photos. But it's full of fun. When people are facing the nature, they will feel peaceful in theire heart. Video: ===== 2006.10.29 ===== Sunday ====== Go to CAM and Kroger & Walk around with Yinhong Weiwei, Meng and I washed the car at the gas station because the car was too dirty. After that, we went to CAM. Everything went smoothly. We finished shopping before 1.00 p.m. This noon, I made steamed fish and Mapuo Tofu. Delicious! Afternoon, Yinhong and I walked around and enjoyed the nice autumn scence of Cincinnati. :) Well, that's all my recent days. |
